In-School Field Trips for K-8th Grade

We travel to schools throughout South Florida to inspire students with FUN & Educational field trips. Since all of our programs are standards-based, we help reinforce or introduce Florida science standards during your in-school presentation. We can make recommendations if you are interested in using the field trip to help teach a specific topic that aligns with your lesson plans. You may also use the engaging experience as a review before an assessment. Let us know ahead of time, and we will focus on specific facts so your students are more confident during their test or quiz!

Frequently Asked Questions

Each of our in-school field trips is an hour. This in-school field trip is designed for no more than 35 students to keep the presentations engaging and interactive.

Once you book us, you are the boss. You decide on a start time, and we follow your schedule. There is no additional fee if there is a break for lunch, specials, etc. We recommend at least 5 minutes in-between presentations to allow time for students to enter/exit the room. Our presenters are energizer bunnies and can do presentations back-to-back if needed.

*Please send us your in-school field trip schedule and room number before your field trip.

It’s best if the field trip is setup in one location and the groups rotate. Your in-school field trip may be setup in any room (classroom, gym, science lab, library, media center, auditorium or theater).

If you need your presenter to move between classrooms, please let me know during booking. Some programs are quick to breakdown and setup, while others need more time because of the supplies. We’ll let you know how much time is needed, depending on the program, so your presenter may begin each session on time.

*Our Space Adventure is the only presentation with specific room requirements. The ceilings must be at least 10ft tall with enough floor space to accommodate our planetarium that is about 25×25 ft.

If there are no indoor rooms available, the presentation area outside must be in the shade with a limit of 4 hours in one day. If outside, temporary tents blow in the wind and a shaded area from trees eventually turns to a sunny spot. Please reserve space under a permanent pavilion type structure.

If you need more than 4 hours to accommodate your students, we will schedule another day to complete the in-school field trip. The limit on time outdoors is for the well-being of the students, presenters and animals (We want to always be courteous to our live animals. The reptiles love the heat, but some of our bugs and arachnids may not survive all day outdoors in their containers).

*Space Adventure may only be setup indoors in an air conditioned room. Wind, rain, sunlight and other forms of weather will effect the planetarium, air blower, projector and also the safety of the students. Please, let us know if air conditioning is not available in the room so we may bring a portable device.

There is no minimum! You can book us for a group of any size.

For groups with less than 25 students, please review the following flat rates:

$185 (Title 1 Schools)
SPACE ADVENTURE in our Mobile Planetarium
$200 (Title 1 Schools)
