Steve Scahill, Science Curriculum Advisor

Steve has always had an interest in science research and writing. Now with over a decade of research experience, he is working on his dissertation for his PhD at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in the Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. He has contributed to a wide breadth of projects in fields such as neurology, virology, tissue engineering, and cancer research with several peer-reviewed publications to his name. He has developed technical expertise in numerous experimental procedures involving cell culture, immunoassays, molecular cloning, and a host of other bench-top skills.
As a Science Education Program Advisor, Steve assists with STEM program development. Mr. Scahill is a firm believer in the need to devote care and attention into the mentoring of young scientists starting their careers.
