Get swept up in a whirlwind of hands-on experiments and high-energy interactive learning as your student meteorologists go through a FUN exploration of weather. The class understands the following scientific topics and how they apply to the dynamics of weather: matter, forces, gravity, mass, density, soils, liquids, gasses, the water cycle, and more! We demonstrate how the sun, along with the Earth’s gravity, rotation and atmosphere, interact to influence the weather patterns on our planet. Students take away a rich knowledge of the differences between weather and climate and how they affect all life on earth. They also understand how climate change alters weather and climate patterns. We discuss what causes climate change and how we can help diminish the negative effects.

Now you may copy and paste Science Standards into your lesson plans! For your convenience, we’ve made a list of Florida standards that are introduced or reinforced during each STEAM City Kids program. Our experienced presenters adjust the content of each presentation to according to the grade level standards, interests and special needs of each group.
